Matt Jarvis was a guest on the Football Daily Podcast and he discussed Manchester United's victory over Watford, a game that was marked by Bruno Fernandes' confident showing.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's troops strolled to an impressive and rather dominant 3-0 display against Watford and have now jumped above Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League standings. Indeed, it was their new signing Fernandes who stole the show and even slotted in the penalty kick to open the scoring at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, with the player compared to the likes of Paul Scholes and Juan Sebastian Veron by his boss.

Jarvis believes the Portuguese midfielder is the perfect man for this Man United gig and he's already showing the fans why. Here's the verdict he delivered on the 25-year-old for the Football Daily Podcast (23/02/2020): "I think he's perfect for United. It's just what everyone, as a fan, has wanted to see from them. They have lacked that creativity and he seems to be the perfect player to go in, full of confidence. He's full of confidence and he seems to be right at home and it's going well for him."

It's difficult to disagree with Jarvis on this one and Fernandes had been proving himself a quality player even prior to joining the Red Devils. After all, we're talking about an attacking midfielder that had been scoring goals for fun at Sporting, netting 63 alongside 52 assists across just 137 games for the Portuguese side.

So, given the fact he's already averaging the most shots out of anyone in the side other than Marcus Rashford (3.3 per game via WhoScored) and the same number of key passes per game as a certain Paul Pogba (2.3), Jarvis looks correct in his assessment of the player thus far.
