Manchester United must let Marcus Rashford leave the club on loan, here’s why

Last season, Marcus Rashford was the name on everybody’s lips and he forced his way into the England reckoning.

This year, the situation couldn’t be more different.

Whilst he may well have featured in 16 of Manchester United’s Premier League games this season, only half of those have been starts and just two have come in Rashford’s preferred position as central-striker, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to contend with.

Still just 19, the youngster is a huge talent for the future but Manchester United would be wise to make a decision to loan him out to a fellow Premier League side this month, as it would provide a massive boost to his development.

Although not at the age where he desperately needs regular football, it would certainly help him become one of the best striker’s England has seen in recent years, and there is plenty of Premier League sides who would jump at the chance to get his services until the end of the season.

Regular football out on-loan would be a far better experience than a handful of appearances in his best role with Manchester United, and the Red Devils would be able to cope without him, as they have the players within their ranks to fill in the gap.

Whilst it may not be what Manchester United fans want to hear, loaning Rashford this month would be a good piece of business for the Red Devils in the long-term.
