Manchester United outcast set for departure

Someone who has become more than a little bit of a joke here at the Football Transfer Tavern is Manchester United forward Bebe who The Mirror report is set to leave Old Trafford.

The Portuguese player has never really got a foothold in his career with the Red Devils and found himself on the sidelines from day one. Not really surprising considering Sir Alex Ferguson never actually saw him play before paying £7.4 million for the 22-year-old who was besieged by injury and lack of form since joining in 2010.

After a nightmare loan spell at Turkish club Besiktas last season, the player was told he had no future at United but has found an outlet with Rio Ave in the Portuguese league who are in pole position to sign the player on loan with a view to a permanent deal if successful.

Rio Ave  lie 5th in the Portuguese league, 14 points off the top and feel Bebe could make a real difference with President Siva Campos claiming that: “He is one of the players who should be just hours away from joining but there are still some details left to address. His signing could be announced very shortly.”
