Manchester United: Paul Pogba speculation surrounding Juventus return warrants criticism from supporters - Manchester United

According to a report by Calciomercato.com, Juventus are monitoring the Paul Pogba situation as rumours over his future at Old Trafford heighten – with some Manchester United supporters slamming the player and hoping he moves on in the summer.

Pogba, who re-signed for a then-world record £93.2 million fee back in 2016, has since gone on to amass 150 appearances for the Red Devils overall whilst notching 31 goals and 31 assists from midfield (Transfermarkt). Despite having his crucial spells of form, most notably last season where he scored 13 goals and assisted nine others (WhoScored.com), rumours surrounding his future at Old Trafford have heightened recently – with a report from the Manchester Evening News stating that he told his teammates he ‘wants to leave‘.

In Pogba’s absence due to an ankle injury, the midfield partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay briefly shined before the latter also picked up a knock – but the January addition of Bruno Fernandes has added some much-needed midfield reinforcement. As a result, some United supporters don’t feel the need to keep him around, with one fan calling him ‘a waste of space‘ – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
