According to transfer oracle Fabrizio Romano, Paulo Dybala’s transfer to Manchester United was called off at the very last minute, via Calciomercato. Unsurprisingly plenty of Red Devils have weighed in on the latest update, with one supporter claiming “we don’t need him.”
Dybala’s representative Jorge Antun was reportedly negotiating with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward in London when the Argentinian phoned him up and told him he was happy at Serie A giants Juventus and didn’t want to move to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed a profitable spell with the Italian champions, having scored 91 goals and created 36 assists in 216 appearances across all competitions during his time at the Allianz Stadium. Dybala is currently valued at £81m via Transfermarkt.
Were critics too quick to mock Odion Ighalo?
United later turned their attentions to attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes and signed the 25-year-old from Sporting Lisbon earlier this year. Fernandes has turned out to be arguably the best signing of the January transfer window, bagging 3 goals and providing 3 assists in just 8 appearances for the club so far (Transfermarkt).
Given the Portuguese international’s astonishing success under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s unlikely the boss is upset with missing out on Dybala in the summer.

He’s overrated man. He turns up in some games but his inconsistency let’s him down. Plus, he could’ve potentially blocked of Sancho’s move to MUFC if he had signed

He’d only join for the money & not love of the club. Bruno >
