Manchester United: Fans react as Memphis Depay dons Red Devils shirt

Former Manchester United midfielder Memphis Depay was spotted wearing a classic United shirt and loads of Red Devils have urged the board to “bring him back.”
After arriving at Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven for £30.6m, the Dutchman largely failed to live up to early expectations, only registering 7 goals and 6 assists in 53 appearances for United in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Depay was subsequently sold to Ligue 1 side Lyon, where he has rediscovered the form that led many to tip him as one of football’s most exciting prospects, bagging 9 goals and creating 2 assists in the French top flight this season. The 26-year-old is currently out of action with a cruciate ligament rupture and his market value is priced at £49.5m via Transfermarkt.
Popular fan site UtdReport shared a new image of the Dutch international in a retro United jersey, prompting a flood of replies from a large section of the United faithful, with many supporters pleading with the club to bring him back in the next transfer window. It remains to be seen whether or not the board will activate the buy-back clause in the summer.

I’d take him back. he’s a much better option than the likes of Daniel James ffs. don’t put the same amount of pressure you did originally when you gave him the number 7 & actually play him in position as well. he’s a baller.
