Lots of Manchester United fans were left raving about tweets from the club’s official account showing clips from Marcus Rashford’s highlight reel.
United tweeted footage of the academy graduate embarrassing the Norwich City and Brighton defences this season with some eye-catching flip flaps, a dribbling feint popularised by Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.
Rashford has bagged 14 goals in just 22 appearances in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in this campaign, averaging 3.4 shots per game, making 1.1 key passes on average, and successfully completing at least 2 dribbles per match (WhoScored). The 22-year-old’s market value is £72m via Transfermarkt.
He scored a goal and provided an assist against the Canaries at Carrow Road last year, as well as scoring a brace against Daniel Farke’s side in the return fixture at Old Trafford in the 4-0 thrashing at the beginning of 2020. Rashford also netted a goal against the Seagulls during the 3-1 win at home (Transfermarkt).
Naturally, loads of Red Devils were in awe of the “class” England international’s skills and made their feelings known on social media. An enthusiastic supporter even dubbed him as the “GOAT” while another noted he is a “role model.” One fan added the videos are “lovely.”
