Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating a busy summer window to ensure they return to the top of the league.
2016/17 saw them win two major trophies but they were well off the pace in the Premier League – meaning many think that more money is going to be spent in the summer window.
Indeed, that would be following the window last year that saw the likes of Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan sign whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic also arrived on a free.
Indeed, of that trio it is surely the latter who had the best season with him often proving the game winner with his goals.
Apparently though – according to The Express at least – the Swedish striker may not actually be offered a new deal by the Old Trafford side to keep him for next season.
Indeed, they are of the opinion that the former Barcelona and PSG man is going to have to look for new employers when his current deal expires at the end of this month.
They cite the fact that he is not expected to play again in 2017 thanks to an injury as the main issue and our landlord thinks that is pretty poor if true given how important he had proven himself to be.
