Odio Ighalo may have been a surprising signing for Manchester United given the fact he’d been playing in China for the last three years after leaving Watford amid a goalless run for the Hornets.
Still, so far, there are already some positives to be drawn from his seven appearances for the Red Devils as the 30-year-old Nigeria international has already scored three goals for the club despite basically playing a deputy role to Anthony Martial. Furthermore, according to journalist Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, it was quite easy to miss his cameo display against Manchester City on the weekend as Ighalo only entered the pitch in the 88th minute.
It's a press box occupational hazard that our heads are often buried in our laptops for most of added time. Watching Ighalo's cameo properly, he was superb almost every time he got the ball. #mufc

Still, even with just a couple of minutes under his belt, Ighalo was superb almost every time he got the ball, as per Luckhurst’s words on his Twitter profile, proving useful even as a fringe player. Indeed, as per WhoScored, the player managed to complete a successful dribble while making six passes at a reasonably impressive 83.3%.
With that in mind, the former Watford man does look like he can add something to the United side, even if he’s not an out-and-out-starter.
