According to quotes courtesy of Sky Sports, Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has lauded the January arrivals of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo – with the academy graduate claiming that first impressions are ‘very good‘.
Fernandes, who signed for an initial £47 million deal in January, has excited a lot of supporters with his arrival – especially when taking into account his noteworthy 63 goals and 52 assists in 137 outings for Sporting Lisbon in all competitions (Transfermarkt). Ighalo, who arrived on loan from Shanghai Shenhua, also potentially poses a threat going forward – racking up 15 goals in 36 starts during his best season at Watford in 2015/16, as per WhoScored.com.
As well as these impressive numbers, midfielder McTominay has now claimed that they are both ‘really, really good guys‘ – with one supporter hinting that could be a shot at loanee forward Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean, currently on a temporary spell at Inter Milan, ‘stunk the place out‘ according to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan on TalkSport – with United fans potentially grateful that McTominay’s quotes have seemingly ruled out similar attitudes from their new acquisitions.
