Manchester United seemingly in dire straits ahead of West Brom clash

Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern really are looking for their side to finish strongly this season with them hunting down the top four.

It’s not been the season United fans would have perhaps imagined would be on the way when Jose Mourinho breezed in last summer, but things are looking upbeat now.

Indeed, the club have still won a major trophy this year and have the Europa League to go for so this campaign is far from over yet.

Their league form has been good, too, but the depth of their squad is set to be really tested with The Metro reporting that they could be without seven players for their game with West Brom this weekend.

Indeed, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are suspended whilst Chris Smalling, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba, Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones all have knocks that could lead to serious squad rotation against the Baggies.

It’s surely not something Mourinho will have wanted to contend with at this point of the season but it does seem to happen at one point to all clubs so how United get on will surely decide their finish in the league.
