Manchester United set for summer clear out

Raised eyebrows and abandoned pints are being seen here at the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail claim Manchester United could be set for a summer clear out and one player in particular is on his way.

Fergie is known for wanting to shake things up at the club time and time again and that has been one of the hallmarks of the long term manager’s success. This summer he is eyeing a major clear out with Brazilian Anderson the top of his list.

The time for Anderson to prove himself has come and gone, with the midfielder suffering from either constant injuries or a total lack of form and the club are ready to ship him out this summer. The midfielder has not lived up to the £17 million price tag and Fergie is set to get rid to free up squad space and wages.

Not only is Anderson on his way out, but the futures of Nani and Javier Hernandez are also in doubt with Nani likely to be sold with his contract up in 2014 and Hernandez on the radar of both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
