Manchester United: Supporters plea for Gary Neville over Trent Alexander-Arnold in Sky Sports team combination

Responding to a combined Manchester United 1999 treble-winning side with Liverpool’s current league leaders by Sky Sports via Twitter, some Red Devils supporters have argued that legend Gary Neville deserves a spot in the team over Trent Alexander-Arnold as well as David Beckham over Mohamed Salah – with fans having their say over the debate on social media.
Neville, who played 401 league games for United over a career spanning 17 years in total (Soccerbase), won numerous honours at Old Trafford, gaining legendary status in the process. During his time as a United player, the Englishman won 12 league titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions League medals (Transfermarkt), with this perhaps being the reason why many supporters are arguing that he should be named in the United-Liverpool combined XI.
By comparison, star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has played a key role from right-back over the last two seasons for Liverpool, reaching two European Cup finals (winning one of them) and playing every game of the Reds’ dominant Premier League campaign this year (WhoScored). However, despite Alexander-Arnold’s seemingly incredible rise, some United supporters still think he hasn’t done enough to usurp Neville’s place in a combined XI of perhaps two of the best teams produced by either club.
Would Scott McTominay be a better captain than Harry Maguire?
Yes

No

As well as these two defenders, some Manchester United fans also think that Beckham should be in over Salah. Find their reasoning from Twitter down below.

Nah, Beckham was sending in crosses on the right, and Neville is better than Trent defensively.
