Marcus Rashford simply must move to Sevilla – this is why

According to The Sun, Sevilla want to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United on loan in this transfer window.

Looking at that you have to say that it appears just to be another random transfer story conjured up on a slow news day in a bid to generate some talking points.

That it may be, but if there is any truth to it which there is just equal amount of possibility for it to be so, then Marcus Rashford has to follow it up.

It’s time this man makes a move.

The young England striker burst on to the scene towards the end of last season and went about scoring on every debut handed to him for club and country over the proceeding months.

He was the only fearless England player at EURO 2016, too, and many were keen to see how he did for United this season, too.

However, he’s seen playing time become more and more limited in recent months thanks to the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan joining and, for the first time, his confidence looks to be taking a knock.

A player of his clear potential cannot be expected to sit around and not play when he could become a world class star, though, and so a move to Sevilla – if he plays – could be perfect.

Perfect for United as he’d be getting top level experience without threatening their title hopes and perfect for him as a player to grow and learn about the game in an environment unknown to many of our young stars.

Hardly any young English talents are exported out on loan when, really, there’s no suggestion that it would do them any harm at all.

In fact, it could be the making of a young player that evidently takes everything in his stride and would surely – given his obvious willingness to learn – make him into an even more well rounded striker – a very frightening prospect indeed.
