The mood of the Man United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern has been tough to gauge over the last week-or-so with conflicting reports everyday surrounding their club’s pursuit of French star, Paul Pogba.
Well United fans, it may be all over in a matter of days. Reports from Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) are claiming that a deal has been agreed and have plastered the headline: “Pogba returns to Manchester United for €125m” across their front page.
The French international reportedly informed chief executives at the Juventus Stadium of his desire to leave Serie A and return to Old Trafford.
Our ever astute Landlord, however, is warning punters of a United persuasion not to get ahead of themselves as he has not heard anything from either club to confirm the deal.
The reports are stating that the Red Devils will pay Juventus €100m for the 23-year-old, with his now world famous agent, Mino Raiola, bagging a whopping €25m for his efforts, not a bad days work really.
United fans, we want to hear from you! Is this finally conformation or after everything that has happened will it take seeing your man in a United shirt once again to convince you the deal is done? Let us know below…
