Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern haven't stopped raving about Zlatan Ibrahimovic since he arrived at Old Trafford last summer.

Many a Red Devils drinker have bravely admitted weren't wholly convinced the Swedish striker would be able to make an impact in the Premier League at the age of 35, especially after spending four years in the less competitive French top flight.

But Zlatan has shown few signs of age during his first term at Old Trafford, currently fifth in the Premier League's scoring charts with 15 goals from 25 appearances and also grabbing an impressive four assists. Consequentially, he's played a hand in almost half of his side's 42 league goals this term.

The former Barcelona star has already made himself a firm favourite amongst the Old Trafford faithful and much to the delight of the Tavern's strong United contingent, he appears prepared to stay on at the club for another year.

Ibrahimovic arrived on a free transfer from PSG last summer and signed a one-year deal, but has now confirmed he's in talks to extend his stay with Jose Mourinho's side.

He revealed the situation ahead of United's Premier League clash with West Brom this weekend, telling reporters (as quoted by Reuters); "Let's see what happens, we are talking. I have an option for another year, I want to do great as long as I'm here, so let us see, there is a lot of time."

It goes without saying that Red Devils supporters in the Tavern are desperate for their talismanic striker to stay on for another season.
