Middlesbrough secured yet another impressive victory on Friday night as they overcame the challenges of West Bromwich Albion at the Riverside Stadium.
The Championship club are heading for promotion to the Premier League if they keep on grinding out promising results. And, it looks as if Tony Pulis is looking to strengthen his side, as according to the Scottish Sun, Middlesbrough are in the frame to sign Harold Moukoudi.
Boro boss Tony Pulis is understood to be weighing up a big-money bid.
Indeed, the Ligue 2 club expect to sell Harold Moukoudi before Friday’s deadline, with Middlesbrough in the frame.
However, they do face competition from Scottish champions Celtic who are desperate to secure the services of a central defender before the deadline at the end of the month.
Middlesbrough have plenty of money in the bank after selling Adam Traore to Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for £18 million, so it comes as no surprise that Pulis is weighing up a big-money bid.
The Championship club could do with bringing another promising central defender to the club as they often develop them into stars of the game, with Dael Fry coming on leaps and bounds at the Riverside Stadium.
But, with Celtic also in the race and a number of other clubs previously submitting an interest, it may be difficult for Pulis to secure his services.
