Monumental breakthrough in deal for Man United’s £100m man

Man United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are growing ever more nervous in the anticipation of the announcement to end the transfer saga of all transfer sagas.

According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, the deal to bring Paul Pogba back to the Premier League is nearing completion with the Frenchman set to have a medical in Los Angeles.

The step forward comes after a breakthrough in talks with Man United on Thursday who reportedly finally caved and agreed to pay the 23-year-old’s super-agent, Mino Raiola, his sensational commission fee, supposedly around the £17m mark.

The French international has been on holiday in the States since France’s defeat to Portugal in the final of Euro 2016, and has caused a great amount of speculation, posting cryptic pictures on social media.

Should the deal go through the fee will smash the £86m record set by Real Madrid in 2013 to bring Gareth Bale to La Liga.

The deal for the Juventus midfielder will reportedly cost the Red Devils £112m including the fees for Raiola.

United fans, we want to hear from you! How excited are you about Pogba making the return to Old Tafford? Or will you just be relieved when this is all over? Let us know below…
