The Football Transfer Tavern is always a busy place in July, with hundreds of rumours, whether true or ridiculous, flying around week after week. This year however has been exceptionally busy, with reports concerning the future of French star Paul Pogba changing on an almost hourly basis, well, here we go again…
Reports from the continent earlier today claimed that a fee had been agreed to bring the midfielder back to Old Trafford.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, things have progressed even further with the Red Devils agreeing a mammoth contract with their former player, worth a whopping £220,000 a week.
However, whereas the reports from Italy on Wednesday morning were suggesting that a fee had been agreed between the clubs, the Daily Mail are stating that Juventus are still standing in between the 23-year-old and a return to Manchester.
Our Landlord has pointed out that although the news seems promising, judging by how strange this window has been the story will more than likely continue to rumble on, a few more pints may be in order to sit this one out.
Well then United fans, what do you make of this? Do you think the deal will be done in the coming days or will it continue run and run? Let us know below…
