Mourinho away on transfer mission to help Man United win attacker tussle with Liverpool

“Croatia is a lovely place to go on holiday” according to one punter here in the Transfer Tavern, but it appears that Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho’s is in the European nation for business, not pleasure, with The Sun claiming he’s travelled abroad in a bid to ensure his side win the race for Ivan Perisic.

The Inter Milan forward is a sought after player amid links with Liverpool, which have developed off the back of his fine showings in Serie A.

Perisic is currently with his Croatian national team as they gear up to play Ukraine in World Cup 2018 qualification action and The Sun claim that Mourinho has travelled to speak with Predrag Mijatovic, who is believed to be the man at the centre of the 28-year-old’s transfer saga.

Mourinho is understood to have a good relationship with the agent, which may help the Manchester giants’ cause, as might the player’s own willingness to relocate to Old Trafford.

Perisic is a versatile attacker who can play on either flank or as a No.10.

Ivan Perisic would be a good fit at manchester United under Jose Mourinho – agree?
