Mourinho eyeing £51m move for Man United’s Shaw replacement

For many of the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, Jose Mourinho is yet to wholly convince in the Old Trafford dugout. 

Though the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ was drafted in to restore former glories at the Theatre of Dreams, the Red Devils remain six points off the top.

Still, transfer rumours seem to make everything better these days, with reports from the Daily Mail serving up another one.

They claim the Premier League titans are readying a big move for Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo after club scouts saw him dazzle in a win over Feirense.

The 21-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Manchester City and is believed to have a £51m buyout clause in his deal with the Lisbon giants.

After joining the club from Barcelona in January, the Spaniard has hugely impressed in recent months.

Luke Shaw, current incumbent of that berth at United, drew public criticism from the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager due to his performance in the recent loss to Watford.
