Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are debating possible changes to their ranks this summer, with the major task potentially seeing the Red Devils having to replace a key-man.
David de Gea continues to attract the attention of Real Madrid this summer and Jose Mourinho is reportedly open to doing a deal, which would leave a major void to be filled at Old Trafford – but there is one man on the short-list.
Rated at £17m by TransferMarkt, 18-year-old AC Milan stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma is widely expected to be a superstar in the coming years and Mourinho is seemingly keen to bring the young goalkeeper to Old Trafford, although it’s likely United would have to pay an audacious figure to bring the teenager to the Premier League.
AC Milan are desperate to keep hold of their exceptional stopper but super-agent Mino Raiola is pushing for a huge deal for his client, which could open the door for Manchester United to complete a huge deal for the teenager.
Money is not an object for Manchester United, especially if they have their funds boosted by the sale of De Gea and our landlord agrees that Donnarumma would be an exceptional addition, although he feels it may be too early.
