It’s not long to go until Manchester United contest the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final clash with Hull City, with the punters propping up the bar extremely optimistic about progressing through to the final this evening.
While the Red Devils are some way off the pace in the Premier League title race, many of our drinkers believe Jose Mourinho is building something big at Old Trafford and remain hopeful they can at least qualify for the Champions League.
Amid the 53-year-old’s rebuild, there are likely to be many more changes in terms of the playing staff, with the Daily Mail claiming the future of United star Ashley Young looks to be in doubt. Left out of the squad for tonight’s game, the 31-year-old is understood to have asked the Portuguese to let him leave the Theatre of Dreams, after not playing since mid-December.
The likes of West Ham, Swansea City and former club Watford are thought to have retained an interest in the Premier League winner, while there are also said to have keen eyes over in the Chinese Super League.
His omission has reportedly put questions marks over his future in Manchester and the United fans in the Tavern hope his situation can be resolved quickly.
