Mourinho set for Man United transfer talks this week over 24-year-old

While the Europa League is still up for grabs, it seems the Manchester United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are focused solely on the summer.

Though Jose Mourinho could win two trophies in his first season at the club, their Premier League form has been rather disappointing over the course of the campaign and Red Devils around the world must be expecting a big improvement.

Despite the fact United are amongst the richest clubs in world football, the punters in the bar realise Mourinho must sell before he can buy.

So, reports from the Birmingham Mail have gone down well amongst our locals. They’ve revealed the Portuguese will meet with Aston Villa chief Steve Bruce in order to discuss a potential move for Sam Johnstone.

The United stopper, who joined Villa on loan in January, has impressed in the Midlands and Bruce reportedly wants to keep him at the club.

Bournemouth and Everton are also thought to be keen, though Bruce and Mourinho are understood to be heading for a meeting this week in order to discuss a deal.
