Last night saw the Manchester United supporters in the Transfer Tavern celebrated a much-needed win before Christmas.
It was far from easy against Crystal Palace, though a last minute Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal saw the Red Devils return home with three points in the bag.
As happy as the United fans propping up the bar obviously are, reports from the Daily Mail have caused slight concern.
It seems that defender Eric Bailly suffered yet another injury blow during the clash at Selhurst Park last night and Jose Mourinho is reportedly sweating on his fitness.
After initially impressing following his arrival from Villarreal, the Ivorian powerhouse picked up a lengthy knee injury during the 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea in October.
He only made his comeback in the clash with Tottenham Hotspur last week, though was forced to come off in south London last night in the 52nd minute.
To be fair, both Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones have proved impressive in central defence of late, though there’s little doubt Bailly is the long-term future for the club.
Speaking to BT Sport (with quotes sourced by the Mail) after the game, Mourinho gave his insight on the African’s ailment.
‘We don’t know [yet]. It is not the same knee, it is the other one. It is the left knee. So he is not coming back to a previous injury”, said the 53-year-old.
‘Of course he has a problem with another dimension but he showed amazing character to try and try, and try until his limit.’
