Mourinho wants 21-year-old at Man United this season amid transfer talks

It’s not been the busiest summer for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, though a thoroughly productive one.

Indeed, the signings of Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku have appeared to transform Jose Mourinho’s squad in recent weeks, with our resident Red Devils confident of a genuine title tilt.

With the deadline fast approaching, attentions amongst our punters have turned to what players could leave Old Trafford before September 1st.

So, reports from Sport Witness have proven rather interesting. They claim the club HAVE held talks with Valencia over a potential loan exit for Brazilian playmaker Andreas Pereira.

The 21-year-old is a popular figure here in our bar after impressing over the course of pre-season, though Los Che seem to be keen on bringing him back to La Liga, with the midfielder having impressed with Granada last term.

Mourinho, meanwhile, is understood to be open to keeping him at the Theatre of Dreams amid their busy schedule this season.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Though keeping a player of Pereira’s quality is obviously tempting, surely furthering his development elsewhere is a much better idea.

Indeed, the midfielder could develop into a big player one day, so needs first-team minutes right now.
