Mourinho willing to pay £60m to raid Man United’s PL rivals

Romelu Lukaku is a name who has proved thoroughly divisive amongst the majority of punters in the Transfer Tavern, with his future at Everton a much-talked about issue right now.

The Belgian is understood to have snubbed a new deal at Goodison Park and, as a result, has been linked with a move to former club Chelsea, where he was sold by ex-manager Jose Mourinho. So, reports from the Sun today have come as somewhat of a surprise.

They claim the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’, now at Manchester United of course, is willing to ramp up attempts to bring him to Old Trafford this summer and is reportedly willing to pay around £60m to get his man. So far this season, the Red Devils have largely been reliant on Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the central striking berth, so the notion of seeing another man arrive has gone down a storm amongst our punters.

The Portuguese is believed to see the 23-year-old as a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney and the aforementioned superstar Swede and many of the United-mad punters in the Tavern seem to inclined to agree.
