It seems one of the major aspects of life as a Manchester United fan these days appears to be dreaming about the notion of big summer arrivals at almost a Real Madrid-like level.
So, today has proved no different for the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern following reports from ESPN.
They’ve revealed United are NOT as keen on bringing James Rodriguez to Old Trafford as recent reports would have you believe. The Colombian has been strongly linked with a move to United and there had been suggestions he’d agreed to make a switch.
However, this report claims Jose Mourinho has bigger fish to fry as things stand. While the 25-year-old is understood to have been offered to the Premier League giants, Mourinho is said to be focusing on the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku.
The self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is not yet thought to have sanctioned any move for the former Monaco man, despite his availability being made abundantly clear by those in the Spanish capital.
That’s come as a blow for our local United fans, who’d love to see the playmaker arrive.
