Manchester United fans here in the Tavern continue to be unsettled by injuries halting their side, as they still await the return of last season’s hero.
The Red Devils have suffered an unfortunate string of injuries over the course of the season, as an injury crisis seems to be hanging in the air at Old Trafford. Indeed, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was phenomenal last season for Manchester United after producing 28 goals in all competitions, but there’s been doubts about his future in Manchester due to injuries forcing a supposed move to the MLS being agreed with LA Galaxy. However, this now appears to be incorrect in the eyes of both clubs involved, as according to reports from Bleacher Report, there is no deal in place between LA Galaxy and Manchester United for the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of the season.
Indeed, it looks as if all the rumours surrounding an agreement for Ibrahimovic to make the American dream has now come to nothing, as LA Galaxy have managed little more than establishing a desire for the striker’s services so far. However, with the MLS side having no designated player spots at the moment, there could be implications in the possible salary offered to the Swedish international.
Of course, with all the injury troubles that the player has struggled with so far this season, it’s clear to see that the minutes he’s spent on the pitch are far from the high-level Jose Mourinho has set for the Red Devils. Therefore, a move for the 36-year-old is looking inevitable, but may not end up coming the way of LA Galaxy if terms can’t be met with a demanding Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan has been a distant memory in the minds of our local residents here in the Tavern, as this season’s performances haven’t underlined a need for the Swedish international to return to the side. Although, for a player that gave Manchester United fans one of the most exciting campaigns of late, the Red Devils would love nothing more than to give the big Swede a huge send-off at the end of the season.
