‘Our winning hero’ – Man United fans on Twitter loving post about England international

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely loving life at the moment. After everyone expecting their Manchester rivals win the Premier League at their expense, Jose Mourinho’s side came up with the goods to take a 3-2 victory, despite being 2-0 down at half-time. The club has now paid tribute to Chris Smalling’s winner by posting a picture of him with the caption “Chris Smalling loves a goal against City.”

Whilst Manchester United’s win has only delayed the inevitable, the United fans will be delighted that their noisy neighbour’s title win hasn’t come at the expense. Pep Guardiola’s City will now be hoping they can claim all three points at Wembley against Spurs next Saturday. The United fans will no doubt be looking back on Chris Smalling’s heroics in years to come as his winner in the dramatic derby will go down as a classic in the fixture.

The United fans propping our bar up will now turn their attention to West Brom next Sunday as they continue to put in the work and ensure themselves a second place finish in the Premier League. Jose Mourinho will be looking at his remaining fixtures as he targets an FA Cup win to complement his league finish. The Red Devils travel to Wembley later in the month as they look to beat Spurs into the final of the world’s most famous cup competition. The fans will be hoping that Chris Smalling can maintain his form as they look to end the season on a high.
