Manchester United supporters in the Transfer Tavern had reason to celebrate after their side secured an incredible three points at Selhurst Park after finding themselves 2-0 early in the second half. Our resident United fans were in dreamland when Nemanja Matic thundered in United’s third goal, one minute into the three added on by referee Neil Swarbrick.

The Red Devils’ comeback was set rolling by defender Chris Smalling as he powered home a ball into the box from Antonio Valencia to make the score 2-1 after 55 minutes. Smalling also scooped up the Man of the Match award in a game where after 50 minutes, it would’ve been impossible to dream of a United defender taking home the award.
The win for Jose Mourinho’s men takes them back to 2nd in the league after Liverpool temporarily leapfrogged them after beating Newcastle at Anfield on Saturday. To make the win sweeter for United fans, it came at the expense of ex-Liverpool boss, Roy Hodgson who also fielded ex-Liverpool players Christian Benteke and Martin Kelly.
You can read the Old Trafford faithful’s verdict below:
He saved himself, his first half performance was ass.
