Positive news on injury front for Man United ahead of next season

While Manchester United ended their season on a high by winning the Europa League, there’s little doubt things could have been better across the board.

Though Jose Mourinho is yet to fully convince, few would argue against the fact that injuries really didn’t help the cause of the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’. Indeed, one in particular to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, left our resident Red Devils in fear.

There were suggestions the superstar Swede was going to retire as a result of his knee problem and, while he may still leave the Theatre of Dreams, reports from the Daily Mail today have gone down rather well.

They claim the 35-year-old could return by the start of 2018, meaning he’d only miss the first half of the next campaign. Though the report does suggest the club are unlikely to wait that long, the fact he’d only miss the first few months has our United-supporting locals hoping they’ll see him again.

The Telegraph also suggest the former Barcelona and AC Milan marksman is keen on staying with the club, much to the delight of the Red Devils around the bar.
