Prolific forward reportedly hopeful of multi-year Man United deal with talks expected

It’s fair to say the Manchester United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are once again enjoying life supporting their side, with the summer capture of a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic crucial to that. 

The superstar Swede has brought the glamour back to Old Trafford since his arrival and his two goals in the EFL Cup final have been widely celebrated for a few days now amongst our punters. Which is exactly why they are dancing on the pool tables following reports from ESPN.

They’ve revealed the 35-year-old is reportedly hopeful of extending his stay at the Theatre of Dreams for up to TWO more years. The former Barcelona and AC Milan master marksman is understood to have the option to extend his original 12-month contract, though has previously revealed nothing is yet set in stone.

However, this report suggests he is happy with life in Manchester and is thought to be hopeful of not only signing the aforementioned option, but adding another year. Talks are said to be expected to gather pace towards the end of the campaign, with the side currently battling on three fronts.
