Life in England has looked relatively easy for Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, no matter who they support, have enjoyed watching one of Europe’s elite players strut his stuff on these shores.
The superstar Swede made it 20 goals in 30 games as he netted against Leicester City on the weekend and, despite initial doubts as to whether a 35-year-old could cut it in the Premier League, has established himself as one of the leading marksmen in this country.
So, reports from the Sun have caused slight concern amongst the Red Devils in the Tavern today. They’ve revealed the former Barcelona and AC Milan star is still deciding as to whether or not he will sign on for another year at Old Trafford, despite his success in his maiden campaign.
He signed a one-year deal in the summer, with the option of a second, and Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on triggering that extension. Ibra, for his part, is believed to be considering penning it, but only if he can continue performing at such a high level.
As far at the Man United fans in the Tavern go, they are desperately hoping he does stay for another year.
Will United be able to keep a hold of Ibra? Let us know below…
