The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting their club’s Twitter post, commemorating English attacking midfielder, Jesse Lingard. The United academy graduate has been in the form of his life this season, scoring 13 goals and assisting five in his 40 appearances for the Red Devils this season.

The midfielder has been a key man for Jose Mourinho this season and has provided goals from midfield to support the frontmen when the club has needed it. Lingard has proven to both Mourinho and the fans what an impact he can have on a football match when given the chance as he’s impressed both off the bench and when starting. Many supporters of the Manchester giants believed Lingard would struggle when Alexis Sanchez was brought in, but Lingard has remained a key feature in the first team.
The Warrington-born forward, who has a value of £25 million according to the good people over at Transfermarkt, has helped United to carry on their tradition of promoting youth and has played his entire career out in a Manchester United shirt bar loans with Derby, Leicester, Brighton and Birmingham. The midfielder has also developed a reputation for scoring big goals. Just recently Lingard popped up with the winner at Old Trafford against Chelsea and has previously scored the winner in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace in 2016.
