With the boring international break coming to a close, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are already talking up their seismic clash with Liverpool next week.
Though the Jose Mourinho era is yet to wholly convince at Old Trafford, the dismal nature of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era has the Red Devils ready to put their full trust in the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’.
That being said, reports from the Sun today have come as little surprise to the United faithful propping up the bar.
They claim Bastian Schweinsteiger is all but certain to leave the club in the January transfer market after struggling to keep up with the pace of the Premier League since his move from Bayern Munich.
Signed under Louis van Gaal last summer, the World Cup-winner has failed to live up to the expectation after establishing himself as one of the best in the world at Bayern Munich.
Either a return to the Bundesliga or a move to the MLS are believed to be the most likely moves for the 32-year-old, who has put himself in good shape despite not playing under the Portuguese.
Has Bastian been treated unfairly? Let us know below…
