So, it finally happened. After what seemed like an eternity, Manchester United officially sacked Louis van Gaal earlier today after a largely frustrating two years in charge at Old Trafford.
As you can well image after the season they’ve had, the Red Devils in the Transfer Tavern have erupted into raucous applause. Some are dancing on the pool tables.
Some Most are drinking the bar dry.
Jose Mourinho and Man Utd is a better love story than Ross and Rachel!

While the Dutchman delivered FA Cup success this weekend, he has largely proved unpopular across his tenure for a methodical style of player and poor signings in the transfer market.

Jose Mourinho – who if you hadn’t heard already – will more than likely takeover from his former mentor at the Theatre of Dreams.
He may not be the most natural fit at a club built on traditions on the Portuguese’s keeping, though is an ideal gun-for-hire in the situation the club are in.
Now the same propagandists of 'beautiful football' will defend the 'bus parkings' and 'counter attacking' style!

Whether the 53-year old will be able to make his magic work in Manchester remains to be seen, but we here in the Tavern have heard all sorts from the punters about their views on the matter.
Jose Mourinho has a certain allure that will undoubtedly attract top players to MUFC, even without Champions league football.

I can't bare to watch if Rashford, Lingard & co get frozen out under Mourinho..

With it being such a big story that could decide the landscape of English football for the foreseeable future, opinions are of course going to be divided.
The press have sacked Van Gaal many times before I hope this time it's the real thing… We're tired of drills

Such is the nature of the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’, it is not just our locals who are unsure over whether or not he will prove to be a success.
Didn't particularly like Louis van Gaal but I think the way the whole situation has been handled is appalling #MUFC
