With both Chelsea and Manchester United welcoming new managers this summer, the fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting the beginning of each era.

While there are major overhauls expected at both Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, with the clubs taking very different routes, there has been a level of continuity in terms of transfer links between the two.

Now Jose Mourinho is firmly installed as the Red Devils' manager, the Portuguese has been linked with moves for some of his old Blues bastions, including the likes of Nemanja Matic and Spanish defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

The latter has been touted as a potential target, with recent reports also suggesting incoming chief Antonio Conte would be willing to sell the stoic Spaniard this summer.

However, currently on international duty at Euro 2016, the La Roja utility man has revealed he is yet to hear anything from his former boss at the Theatre of Dreams.

“No. [You can] Believe me or not'', he told radio station Cadena Ser, via the Express, when quizzed over whether or not the self-proclaimed 'Special One' had been in touch.

Would Conte be foolish to sell the Spaniard?
