The name Henrikh Mkhitaryan may not be the easiest to pronounce, but it is fast becoming one of the most talked about names of this burgeoning transfer window.
Having excelled for Borussia Dortmund last term, the Armenian playmaker has been linked with blockbuster moves to the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months.
One of the most potent attackers in the continental game, the 27-year old is entering the final 12 months of his deal at Signal Iduna Park and looks increasingly unlikely to pen fresh terms with the Bundesliga giants.
Now, as reported by the Daily Mail, the player’s agent has revealed he would prefer a move to Old Trafford in order to link up with Jose Mourinho next season.
Mino Raiola, who also represents a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has insisted a move to the Theatre of Dreams is the former Shakhtar Donetsk man’s preference.
‘He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation,’ Raiola said.
‘We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.’
How many signings does Mourinho need to make to win the league with Manchester United?
