Zlatan IbrahimovicZlatan IbrahimovicThe Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Jose Mourinho for quite some time, with the Portuguese boss set to take over from Louis van Gaal in the next couple of days.

According to a report in Sportsbladet, via The Express, global phenomenon Zlatan Ibrahimovic will become the ex-Chelsea boss’ assistant manager at Old Trafford, with the Sweden star set to continue playing for the first 12 months.

The 34-year-old has been a scoring sensation throughout his career and the one blank area on his CV is playing in the Premier League, something which he has said previously he would like to achieve before retirement.

The role being offered by Manchester United is likely to be an appealing one, as it offers the striker some longevity of a future once his playing days cease.

One Manchester United fan is putting his favourite tracks on the Tavern’s jukebox and he thinks that Ibrahimovic can still cut the mustard in the Premier League, stating that his presence in the dressing room will be massive for the younger players coming through the ranks.

Manchester United fans, can Zlatan still do a job for you in the Premier League? Will he make a good assistant manager?
