Talks reportedly scheduled as Mourinho fights to improve Man United

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to getting back to business on Saturday when they host Swansea City, although some concerns will have started to brew with some of their players.

The Sun is reporting that Jose Mourinho is set to hold talks with his squad before they take on the Swans to try and save their season. The manager has been critical of a number of his stars in the past few weeks, accusing many of them publicly with poor performances.

Luke Shaw has been one of the most public bust-ups between player and manager, although it is also believed that Mourinho has hardly been speaking to Paul Pogba either.

It is believed the Portuguese manager, who is not shy of a giving out criticism to his own players in public, is preparing to talk with his squad and make sure everyone is on the same page as the season comes to a crucial time.

Manchester United currently occupy second in the Premier League and have an FA Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur, where should they advance, it could create a showdown with Mourinho’s former side Chelsea. As you can imagine, our resident Red Devils hope it works…

Landlord’s Verdict

The locals within the Tavern will be hoping that Mourinho and his players can make peace with each other during talks so it does not affect their chances of a trophy or second-place finish at the end of the campaign.

Manchester United fans, what do you think of Mourinho’s plans to sit his players down and clear the air? Let us know below!
