‘The mind games begin’ – Man United fans react to midfielder reports ahead of big week

While this week has seen Manchester United progress into the Europa League semi-final, as well as winning over Burnley, the punters in the Transfer Tavern are far from delighted about how it actually panned out.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo suffered long-term injuries against Anderlecht, while Paul Pogba limped off at Turf Moor yesterday after a ridiculously busy week for the Frenchman.

The 24-year-old was seen holding his leg before being replaced by Michael Carrick, much to the dismay of the Red Devils in the Tavern.

With a monumental Manchester derby coming up, United could certainly do without all these ailments as they attempt to not only win the Europa League, but finish as high as possible in the Premier League too.

Though Pogba’s struggles this season are rather well-documented indeed, the prospect of travelling to the Etihad without him is a scary one indeed. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at how United fans on Twitter reacted to Pogba’s injury.
