4-2-3-1: This is Mourinho’s best Man United line-up right now – agreed?

Manchester United fans here in the Tavern grow in confidence after an incredible unbeaten start to the season. 

The locals here in the Tavern are somewhat ecstatic after their Special One seems to have it all figured out for this United side. The Premier League giants were looking for an improvement last season as they very much underachieved domestically as they dropped to a disappointing 6th place finish. If it wasn’t for the heroics of the Europa League triumph then many would have classed it a disaster.

With punters here slating Mourinho for the performance last season, many believed that he needed to bring a few fresh faces in to bolster what already was an under-performing squad. With United having the second-best defence in the league last season, it was the midfield and attacking element that needed to be improved.

Looking to add quality to his squad Mourinho looked to the services of Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, two well established Premier League players who he knows can perform on the big stage. Now with the attacking options on the rise, the re-signing of the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked to be the final piece of the puzzle as the King returned to his throne at Old Trafford.

With already 7 games under their belt in the Premier League this season, Man United sit second only on goal difference as a dominant start to the season has seen them score 28 goals in 9 games in all competitions so far this season.
