‘True red’, ‘Never leave’ – Man United fans on Twitter are loving the club’s latest post amid rumours

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their home-grown star, Marcus Rashford as he spoke about what it means to wear the famous red shirt. Rashford burst onto the scene under Louis Van Gaal when he was thrown into the starting eleven against FC Midtjylland in a Europa League clash after Anthony Martial pulled out through injury.

Since that game back in 2016, Marcus Rashford hasn’t looked back, establishing himself as one of the club’s most prolific goalscorers over the last two seasons and doing everything right as he’s become a fan favourite. At the age of just 20, Rashford is a long way from his peak, and if he can continue the upward trajectory that he’s currently on then it’s only a matter of time before his name is spoken among the best footballers in the world.

Manchester United, despite the many millions now they have now, have always been a club that has focused on promoting youth. The club currently has three academy players in their first eleven in Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingad and Paul Pogba, even though Pogba did leave for Juventus before returning to Old Trafford. The fans have a special place for Rashford as he continues to endear himself to the fans, recently scoring twice in the club’s 2-1 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford and if he can carry on scoring goals, the fans will have him down as a club legend before long.

Recently linked with a move away from Old Trafford, it seems the club could be issuing a response to such transfer talk.
