Turkish giants ready to table lucrative offer for Man United playmaker after initial talks, future uncertain

Amid all the hype surrounding Jose Mourinho’s seismic arrival at Old Trafford, the more sensitive bunch amongst the crowd in tonight have spared a thought for little Juan Mata.

The Spaniard is a hugely popular player at the Theatre of Dreams, though shares a chequered past with the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’, who infamously axed from the Chelsea squad just six months after arriving.

Prior to that, the World Cup winner had won the Blues’ Player of the Year twice in a row.

Upon the arrival of the Portuguese at Old Trafford, the 28-year old was instantly linked with a move away from the club he joined for £37m in 2014.

Now, according to Turkish outlet FotomacFenerbahce are reportedly keen on saving the former Valencia man, should the 53-year old once again wield the axe.

It is claimed the Istanbul giants are ready to formalise their interest in the form of a concrete offer, after holding positive talks with the player’s representatives.

Has Mourinho changed his mind over Mata?
