It seemed to all of us here at the Football Transfer Tavern that Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski would be on his way to Old Trafford in the future. However according to Sky Sports, a move to another club could now be on the cards.
They have linked the forward with a move to Serie A giants Juventus after Sir Alex Ferguson rubbished claims Untied were set to buy the player. United of course have more than enough fire power up top and it seems unlikely that the player would be happy to play second fiddle to Robin van Persie.
Lewandowski has impressed no end again this term in the Bundesliga and also during the Champions League group stages, where he was pivotal in guiding Dortmund to the top of the table. The star striker has notched up 10 goals this term and netted an impressive 22 times last season. The Signal Iduna Park-based club are understandably reluctant to lose the player yet his agent has been touting the player’s services around.
When asked about a link to Juventus, Cezary Kucharski claimed: “Could Robert could sign for Juventus? Anything is possible. But I don’t want to say anything at this time.” Of course Juve are being strongly linked with Fernando Llorente but in football you just never know and the player looks like being on the move this summer.
