A club as big as Manchester United are always likely to be linked with players from all around the footballing globe, with the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern trying to keep up with it all.
Our resident Red Devils are used to reading all sorts of rumours and reports, so stories shedding light on the players the club AREN’T looking at actually prove rather useful indeed.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has taken to Twitter to update United fans all around the world in regards to their midfield targets. Considering the sheer amount of individuals the club are credited with an interest in, finding out who isn’t a target is really rather insightful.

Indeed, the notable journalist reveals PSG’s Italian star Marco Verratti and Bayern Munich’s Portuguese prodigy Renato Sanches were not on the club’s radar. Both were linked with moves to Old Trafford, with the latter in particular touted as a major target last summer before his move to the Allianz Arena.
While the situation may have reportedly changed, our United-mad punters aren’t overly surprised. They’re hoping a more defensive name is brought in, to free Paul Pogba next season.
