van Gaal stalwart set for Man United move, Mourinho rebuild continues

Daley Blind was one of the few things for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern to get excited about during Louis van Gaal’s reign.

The classy Dutchman emerged a stalwart for his compatriot at the club, establishing himself as a gifted ball playing central defender.

However, with Jose Mourinho seemingly hell-bent on stamping his own trademark authority on the Red Devils, his time at Old Trafford could soon come to an end.

According to Mediaset Premium (via the Daily Telegraph), the former Ajax man is a target for recently appointed Inter Milan coach Frank De Boer.

The Nerazzurri are said to be lining up a £17m offer for the 26-year old after a feeling emerged that he could be one of the major names axed by the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’.

Those at the San Siro are understood to be preparing a move, with the £30m arrival of Eric Bailly at the Theatre of Dreams likely to see him relegated to the bench.

Is Mourinho right to want rid of Daley Blind? Is Bailly an upgrade? Let us know below…
