There are just so many problems at Manchester United right now, a myriad of issues that have driven the fans in the Transfer Tavern to drink of late.
Jose Mourinho has quite the job on his to turn the Red Devils around sharpish, though it’s not abundantly clear as to what exactly is the problem.
Whatever it is, it seems far deeper rooted than merely the inclusion or exclusion of a certain Wayne Rooney within the starting XI.
Dropped for his poor performances, the 31-year-old was lambasted by United and England fans in every corner of the country and his dropping seemed to be made a far bigger than it was.
Still, even replacing the captain with younger options such as Ander Herrera hasn’t worked out and Rooney provided one of few highlights in last night’s dismal loss to Fenerbahce.
Though his stunning strike was all but a consolation, he moved within two goals of breaking Sir Bobby Charlton’s record at club level too with a trademark bullet from well outside the box.

He may not do it as often as he used to, though Rooney can certainly provide an extra dimension.
