Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have gotten used to hearing a fair share of rubbish at the bar, but they genuinely feel the latest quotes passed their way are taking the biscuit.
The Red Devils in the bar are reacting to suggestions from BBC Radio 5 Live pundits Danny Mills and Charlie Adam, both of whom think Jose Mourinho should make a move to sign John Terry in the summer window.
Terry’s long association with Chelsea is coming to an end next month but the former England skipper could remain in the Premier League, but Mills and Adam both believe he’d be a great signing for Manchester United.
Our landlord can’t quite believe that’s truly the case, as he can’t see Terry getting any football in Jose Mourinho’s side and has laughed off the suggestion that Terry’s influence is needed behind the scenes, as they have a wealth of experienced pros on their books.
Whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick could all leave this summer, United still have the likes of Antonio Valencia, Juan Mata and Chris Smalling, all of whom will command a wealth of respect behind the scenes.
Fans on social media seem to believe that’s the case, as United fans flocked to give their responses to the surprise claims.

Danny Mills thinks Man United should sign John Terry. I know everyone's entitled to their opinion but how is one man so wrong so often?
